The VIU Mariners are a not-for-profit organization run by volunteers and are part of the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League. The Mariners hockey club consists of 25 student-athletes from across Canada competing against other provincial University hockey clubs from across BC during league play but will play exhibition games across Canada and USA. The Mariners are a club team that is solely financed by their student-athletes and donations from the public.
The Mariners have partnered with the BC Amateur Sport Fund to raise money in support of its 2023-24 season. Your gift will be used towards ice time costs, travel and accommodation, officials, and other team expenses. Your support will help provide student athletes with the opportunity to compete at a high level focusing on schooling and hockey instead of the stress of paying higher participation costs.
